curtprice: @jprutherford - Brewer as capt. again has to upset most Blues fans, considering most fans would prefer Brewer not be on the team at all.

curtprice: @NormSanders - management may be adamant that brewer is still capt...but they should be prepared for backlash when he underperforms...again.

curtprice: Ricky Horton doesn't like booing...he thinks fans should just be silent instead. Uh...What??

curtprice: @jprutherford - Critical year for Berglund, no doubt. He needs to drastically improve his numbers for the Blues to do well.

PostHeaderIcon AN EMAIL I RECEIVED

Let me start off by saying this...
I run a St. Louis Blues fan website, www.letsgoblues.com, and I will occasionally get an email from someone in another country, asking me questions about the Blues and the Blues organization.  I even received an email one time from a foreign kid that had a homework assignment on the Blues music genre, and he contacted me asking all kinds of music questions.  Goofy stuff.

But here's another one...

You guys remember bizarro Curt Price who is running for Congress in Florida, right?

Well, today I received this email:

"Hi Curt, We are so glad to see a conservative like yourself running for Congress. I filled out your petition forms and want to send a check also. What address may I use? Regards [names removed]  Tamarac Fl 33321"

Is that you Tolbert?!?!  (Major League fans will get that reference)
Seriously?  Really?  They sent this to my curtprice.com email address.
How does someone get my email address screwed up with bizarro Curt Price in Florida?

To clarify...

1)  I am not the goofball running for Congress in Florida.
2)  Do not ask me if you can send me money to help support my campaign for Congress, which doesn't exist.
3)  If you want to send me money otherwise, that's fine.  There is a link in the right column of my website if you choose to do so.

Hilarious.  Maybe I'll get some donations in my bid to not run for Congress.

PostHeaderIcon RECENT SCHTUFF & HAPPENINGS

Dad, Keith, Greg and I went to the Rams vs. Cardinals game last Sunday at the dome.  Arizona won, 21-13.  I was on the only one in the group rooting for Arizona (Before you jump on me, I am a Rams fan, but not when they play the Cardinals.  I was a Cardinals fan first...so they are "my team".)  I had a good time.  It looked like the Rams were going to get blown out, but Warner left the game with an injury at halftime and the Rams came back a little in the 2nd half and it ended up being a close game.  The Rams had the ball with a chance to tie it in the closing minutes, but the Cardinals held on.

This is a high school band...yes, high school.  Geez...

I finished the fire pit and the inaugural bonfire was a success!  The fire pit will never look this clean again.

Zoe absolutely LOVES looking at her cousins (and herself) on the wall in her room.  When you hold her facing the photos, she coos, her eyes get real big and she tries to stand up to get closer to them.  Pretty neat.

PostHeaderIcon FIRE PIT CONSTRUCTION

I took some time off of work to take advantage of the nice weather, get some things done around the house and also build a fire pit by the lake.

This is my first attempt at laying brick, and I didn't think it was going to take as long as it is taking.  Laying brick is not overly difficult for a simple/small project like this, but it takes time to make sure every brick is tapped in level and the mortar is packed in well...or maybe I'm just slow.

I've started on the 2nd row of bricks.  There will be three rows total.  It will probably take me a couple more evenings after work, working under the lights in the dark, to finish it up in time for the bonfire on Saturday.

I plan on putting some gravel inside the pit and inserting a round grill for the wood to sit on, a few inches above the gravel.
